Built by an operator, for operators

For years, lease operators pressed a crescent wrench against the wellhead and put their ear to the other end to hear if the plunger was moving. The Tubing Tender replaces that old trick with a rugged, purpose-built monitoring unit.

A sensitive microphone couples directly to the tubing string through 3/4" pipe insulation, picking up plunger arrivals, gas flow changes, and slug activity. An FM transmitter inside the weatherproof enclosure broadcasts the audio to any standard vehicle radio.

No Wi-Fi, no cellular, no monthly fees. Tune your truck radio to the right frequency and you hear your well — while working on other projects around the lease.

Mount

Open the Tubing Tender box and secure the foam-insulated microphone around the 2" pipe on your wellhead tree. Close the enclosure and the acoustic coupling is set.

Tune

Power on the transmitter, select an open FM frequency, and tune your vehicle radio to match. Audio quality is clear within several hundred feet of the wellhead.

Listen

Hear every plunger arrival, gas blow, and slug cycle in real time through your truck speakers. Work on other tasks around the lease while monitoring continuously.

Hear a plunger arrival

This is what the Tubing Tender picks up — a plunger arriving at the surface, recorded live through the FM broadcast. This is the sound operators listen for.

Why operators choose the Tubing Tender

No infrastructure needed

No cell towers, no satellite, no internet connection required. The Tubing Tender works everywhere there's a wellhead and a truck radio.

Fraction of the cost

Starting at $285 per unit with volume discounts available, the Tubing Tender costs a fraction of high-dollar SCADA or digital monitoring systems — and there are zero recurring fees.

Field-proven by operators

Over 400 units deployed by lease operators and field crews who rely on it daily. Foremen bought them for entire crews because the results spoke for themselves.

No training required

If you can tune a radio, you can use the Tubing Tender. Operators recognize plunger sounds immediately — arrivals, gas flow, slug activity — because they already know what to listen for.

Simple, straightforward pricing

No subscriptions, no monthly fees, no hidden costs. Buy the unit and it's yours. Volume discounts for crews and fleets.

What operators are saying

"
I can work on other equipment around the location and still hear what the well is doing. It's like having another hand on site without having to pay anyone.
Lease Operator, San Juan Basin
"
My foreman bought one for every hand on the crew after he tried the first unit. We catch missed arrivals way faster now — no more guessing from the charts.
Field Foreman, San Juan Basin
"
We pair the Tubing Tender with wireless FM headsets because of the noise on our rigs. Works great — we can monitor the well even over all the equipment running. Can't hear a thing without it.
